Rock The Beach is arranged on Helsinki’s Hietaniemi Beach which is located within a walking distance from the City Centre, on the west side of Kamppi, in Hietaniemi. The beach is one of Helsinki’s most beautiful and very popular during summer months. You can find the surrounding areas map here.
HOW TO GET THERE:
The entrance to the event area takes place through Hietaniemenkatu. We recommend you reserve time when arriving to the site as especially the entrance gates can become crowded during busy hours. We recommend you arrive to the area by walking, by bicycling or public transport. Please don’t arrive by car as there is NO parking anywhere near or around thesite. The areas surrounding the site will be closed from cars on the event date. Taking advantage of Helsinki’s public transport system you’ll be able to leave traffic and parking troubles behind. By walking from Central Railway Station or Kamppi metro and bus station
The walking distance between Central Railway Station and Hietaniemi beach is about 2,5 km. You can also take the metro from Central Railway Station to Kamppi from where the walking distance to site is about 1 km.

The closest bus stops are located in Mechelininkatu and Porkkalankatu. We recommend you use Helsinki’s public transport system HSL’s travel planner Reittiopas here https://www.reittiopas.fi/.
You can get around Helsinki City quite nicely with a bicycle. We recommend you use Helsinki’s public transport system HSL’s travel planner Reittiopas here https://www.reittiopas.fi/ as they also have recommended bicycle routes in their planner. There is a free bicycle parking area near entrance, located in the corner of Hietaniemenkatu and Hietakannaksentie.
We definitely don’t recommend that you arrive anywhere near the event area by car as there is no parking possibilities and no room for dropping people off. The roads near the site will be closed from cars around the concert date.
We recommend you leave your car for example to one of the train station’s parking areas and then arrive to the event area by public transport. The parking garages located near festival site can be found here www.europark.fi. Please note that parking fees and rules vary.
You can enter the concert site only once with your ticket.
After the concert exiting from the area takes place through Hietaniemenkatu towards Mechelininkatu.
